On June 25th 2024, an eTwinning session was organized by the European House in Kosovska Mitrovica, to guide participants on how to create an account on the European School Education Platform and join the eTwinning network. The session was conducted by the eTwinning organizers and aimed to provide educators with the necessary knowledge to get started with eTwinning, an initiative that fosters collaboration and exchanges among schools across Europe. During the session, Prof. Dr Branimir Jakšić promoted the Erasmus+ project WB Net, which focuses on building networks among Western Balkan countries to enhance educational collaboration. He elaborated on the key goals and objectives of the project, which include:
- Encouraging the integration of Western Balkan schools into the broader European educational landscape.
- Providing teachers and students with opportunities for professional growth and cross-cultural exchanges.
- Strengthening the capacities of schools in the region through strategic partnerships.
Prof. Jakšić highlighted the synergy between the WB Net project and eTwinning, explaining that schools participating in WB Net would benefit greatly from the resources and collaborative opportunities available on the eTwinning platform.
The session was highly informative and well-received by the participants. The clear explanations provided by the organizers, coupled with Prof. Jakšić’s presentation of the WB Net project, offered attendees a comprehensive understanding of how to get involved in eTwinning and the broader European educational initiatives.
This session marked an important step towards fostering greater educational collaboration within Europe, particularly for schools in the Western Balkans.
