At the University of Mitrovica – Faculty of Technical Sciences in Kosovska Mitrovica on February 12, 2026. A round table with teaching staff was held. The meeting was attended by UPKM academic staff (Faculty of Technical Sciences, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Philosophy and Faculty of Teacher Education). The goal of the event was to better understand how curricula and programs are currently designed, reviewed and implemented, as well as to what extent students are prepared for the needs of the labor market. Some of the topics discussed were: student skills and learning outcomes, alignment of curricula and learning outcomes, professional practice and pedagogical approaches, career development and institutional support, future development directions.
During the event Dr. Jelena Todorović and Dr. Aleksandra Petrović presented the goals of the WBNET project as well as the activities carried out so far. Two created short study programs (Information and Communication Technologies and Multimedia) within the framework of WBNET projects were presented. Two short study programs are presented as examples of good practice where the content of the program was created in cooperation with representatives of the business sector and the needs of the labor market. Also, the enrollment of the first generation of short study program participants at UPKM was promoted.
